We had a fabulous time on our field trip! Please enjoy the photos below! The kids participated in seven different hands-on activities throughout the park. Topics that were covered in our stations included: geology, entomology, symmetry, predator vs. prey, hiking - tree identification, water pollution, and recycling. The students were very interested and engaged in all that was taught, even when they were hot, thirsty, and tired!
This field trip was free of charge and was put on by Purdue Extension, the Soil and Water District, and the Solid Waste District. Symbiosis Park is located south of Blue Ridge in a beautiful woods owned by Ken & Marilyn Fallis. The park is free to visitors and it is the Fallis' dream to give the community a place to learn about nature. If you are looking for something fun, outdoors, and cheap to do with your family, please consider visiting this lovely park!
